BIOKAT

BIOKAT LLC was set up on April 17, 2003. Mr. Garik Saroukhanian and Mr. Hratchik Hakobian are the founders of the company. However, the story of BIOKAT starts earlier. In 2002, friends of G. Saroukhanian advised him to start a small production of TAN with 300 litres of milk. Later on, BIOKAT starts producing cream (12%) and kefir.
Today, the company produces more than 20 types of dairy products. BIOKAT pays particular attention to its customers, looking for special diet products.
The BIOKAT Company buys only natural milk, which comes from the regions of Alagiaz and Aparan at 1.800-2.000 m. alt., an important fact for the quality of milk. The ferments are imported from Italy and Sweden. BIOKAT uses only natural milk and refuses to use milk powder. For this reason BIOKAT products are slightly more expensive than other local brands.
In 2003, BIOKAT participated in the "Russian contest for quality of milk and dairy products" in Moscow and one of its products, TAN, had been awarded the bronze medal.
In the near future, BIOKAT will buy new equipment in order to improve the treatment of milk and to start producing high quality milk.
BIOKAT intends to start the production of cheese and plans to increase its personnel.
